JazzG The commentary on this goal with Andy Gray is much better. What a season he had in 01/02, after that knee injury never recovered his pace but that season was legit one of the best wide players this league has ever seen. He got injured in March and still won player of the year!

Then he came back the next season as we fumbled the title but scored a brilliant hatrick against Southampton to start (if I remember correctly) our 49 match unbeaten run in the second or third last game of 02/03.

Also scored against them in thr FA Cup final around that time.

He came back a much more prolific goal scorer and scored so many important goals. But in 01/02 he was something else, literally frightening at times on the wing and once he got injured he lost that burst he had. Remember him leaving Gerrard for absolute dead at Anfield to set up Ljungberg.
