at least we're buying yougnsters with size. i'd say the policy from now on is any under 20 players we recruit needs to be 6 foot minimum

We buy kids all the time; the only reason why this transfer has got so much attention is because Legia decided to play it that way. The signing of this kid has no impact on plans for the first team I reckon. Having said that, Wenger has form for not buying despite the team being in desperate need.

if wenger starts him at 17 its because hes a world class talent like cesc or a young rooney. its unlikely but i like you optimism.

He'll turn up for a league cup cameo next season I reckon. Doubt he'd make the team for anything else.

No idea where people even get the idea that this kid is anywhere near our first team in quality.

What is first team quality? Because we've got a player that no premier league team wanted on loan looking our first choice at defensive mid. We had a player with a handful of starts in the French second division starting as the main striker in a CL knockout tie against Bayern Munich. The bar is incredibly low in some positions and as soon as an injury hits - and they always do - players who shouldnt play do play. 

Especially for this reason let's hope he's a prodigious talent. This is a lot of money for someone who just turned 17 and is playing in an obscure league. 

Saw on twitter that he apparently told Polish press Wenger wants him to fight for first team place and he saw us giving kids game time in UCL, so he chose us.

The kid seems to talk a lot. May help our communication on the pitch!

Probably the reason AW says we are not making any moves for Gundogan this window is so we won't kill playing opportunities for Bielik and Chambers to develop as CMD.

Because it means SFA in regards to our current requirements, and is yet another continuation of the established status quo whereby AW's priority targets are youth ahead of the current season.  All too often we see little done regarding the season other than a cover loanee if anything, and then AW tells us they were hard at work but no one wanted to sell etc etc etc.
