It's the business end of the season so it's common to play the big boys. Look at the Spanish or Italian cup in the latter stages, always Big club v big club.

If we can't beat a big club on the way to winning the cup we simply don't deserve it.

Yes we have a bad record against them esp at OT but record don't stay forever. We are not the Arsenal of 2011 and we are not facing Fergie's Utd. We are just playing against the name. Anyway, every time we have beaten Utd in the cup we have gone on and won it (79', 03, 05).

Don't forget we don't even need to win at OT to go through. A draw is fine too.

Get behind the team and don't watch it if you think we have zero chance.

Quick question to those that think we will get beat.

Imagine if you were an Arsenal player and someone showed you a thread on red cafe with majority of posts saying: "don't mind Arsenal, they have always been our bitches" or "Arsenal at home shouldn't be too hard, we having been owning them for years...FA Cup is ours!!" Or "men v boys part 10" etc.

Would you still play like you think we have no chance?

what we think doesnt matter at all.

come match day, everyone will be behind the team and hoping for the best. but the reality is that we havent won there since 2006 and when we play them, no matter how shit they are or how much turmoil they are going through, they turn it up to 11 and always get the better of us.

its a mentality thing at this point for the players. and that spills over to the fans as well.

If we hadn't embarrassed ourselves year after year at OT we'd be a bit more confident.

It was only a few years ago in the cup that we lost to them with at least one of, it may even have been both, Rafael and Fabio in the midfield.

The reality is that they've consistently had a vastly better team than us since 2006 and the one time that they didn't, we went there with Aaron Ramsey out wide and Mathieu Flamini in central midfield and still outshot them 10 to 5.
