Hmmm. In theory yes, plenty of goal power, in reality we've not yet proven that we can challenge or beat any of the top teams on that front.

Maybe when we get everyone back from injury, and we keep them fit until the end of the season, we'll know better what we're dealing with.

IMO we've dominated in every game this season v Spuds, Citeh, CFC, ManU, Everton & LFC but have struggled to convert our scoring opportunities.

I don't want CFs like Giroud & Welbeck to look to open the centre for the ball players - I can't think of any other top CL team that does so other than RM. At most other lone CF/ST formations the CF is usually the top goal scorer.

Further to this only Walcott offers runs behind the defensive line ahead of the ball, which then forces the opposition to sit deeper which then opens the space in the final 3rd for the likes of Ozil & Sanchez to exploit from deeper/behind the front line.

Giroud scores against mediocre sides. Theo and Ramsey are always injured. Welbeck has never been a goalscorer. Sanchez is great though.

Surely the fact that we conceded despite supposedly dominating (not sure how we dominated Liverpool, we scored 2 from 2 chances) is a bigger issue than not scoring enough in big games? And we scored 2 goals in 3 of those games, that should be enough.

The only games we struggled were Spurs, Chelsea and United and in each of those games we were missing at least 3 of the 5 players mentioned.

We have problems all over the pitch. No section of the team is good enough to win the league. We need defenders, midfielders, attackers and, ideally, a new gk.

IMO the issue is that we are dominating possession in the final 3rd but that the opportunities are falling to the ball players who are not genuine goal scorers and are hesitant to pull the trigger, and when they do they are poor at converting. We then go in on level terms at half time and then go behind in the 2nd half and have to play catch up. If we were more efficient/clinical in both the number and quality of shots taken we'd likely be better able to convert our dominance into a lead, and then be better able to dictate the tempo of the game.

Scoring first and early should be the objective to instigate our possession game, rather than the result of our possession.

He said months ago that he left something undone in the summer and that he'd fix it in January. Personally i was absolutely convinced we were signing a centerback, still can't understand how we didn't.
