Well, we are comfortably the 3rd best team in the league, so...

I still think it's going to be close, but if we can keep up performing like we did at City then we'll make the top4 for sure.

I think it's a toss up between us United and the saints for 3rd best team.

Bit concerned that we might be relying too much on Coquelin and Bellerin. It's one thing to perform for a week or a couple of weeks, it's another thing entirely to perform for 6 months.

We already saw with Chambers how quickly a young player can get burned out.

I mean Coquelin is not that young but still fairly inexperienced, especially as playing for a top team is different.

You can't be serious?

We have so much more quality than Southampton that it's not even funny. They have just played at their maximum level while we've been well below our standards. United have impressive forwards and a great 'keeper, but overall I'd still put us ahead in terms of squad quality.

Then you're just wrong. 🙂

I don't think we'll get in the CL spots this season

if we didn't drop out the last two seasons, im going to assume we aren't going to drop out ever again until we get to the last week of the season and we're mathematically out.

thanks to rex for posting my graphic here, i scanned for this thread and didnt see it. of course, any given fixture can be tricky and a problem. i didnt have time to calculate strength of play at home/away for all 20 teams, so its obviously not exact.

i think we have a good chance to go on a nice run over the next 2 months in the league. if we can beat the spuds, i think we'll be cemented in 3rd place after the next 8 fixtures. unless united buy 2 new defenders in january, i can see them fading, to be honest.

As long as Wenger is in charge we will ALWAYS finish in the top 4.

Not even a debate.

Found this on redcafe. It's not as if games against the top 8 are the be all and end all but this is interesting.

We'll lose at Old Trafford and against Chelsea but the rest aren't that bad.

Only team to fear is Chelsea. Rest we ought to win

I wouldn't be totally surprised if we scrapped a draw against Chelsea. I agree with you otherwise.

Looks like we'll keep our players fresh too. Wonder when ozil will get back in the starting eleven

We better not!

Just looked it up. FWIW, Man City is @Chelsea, @Liverpool, @Man U, vs West Ham, @Tottenham and vs Southampton.

I think we'll beat United there. We should have beat them handsomely at the Emirates.

Spurs are the ones to keep an eye on

Southampton have a great chance in that case, I think they might go all the way.

Yep. I was actually rooting for them against Newcastle. I think we'll finish 3rd pretty comfortably and I think Southampton have a chance to finish ahead of Man U as well.
