I don't agree that he did not control the midfield yesterday: in terms of keeping possession and moving the ball accurately he did his job.

I'd much prefer to see a sharp focused Ramsey in CM ahead of him, but for me at the moment Ramsey's touch and passing game are off to the degree that I think playing him in CM would make us vulnerable

Ramsey is extremely reliant on being 100% physically in order to give telling performances

I think Ramsey is reliant on having a set role in the team that isnt only determined by a starting position and self-expression.

With Santi I think it's a little different, I think he's purely in there for his unique ability to control the game and find guys like Ozil and Aaron when they find a pocket of space in the final third with a bit of incisive passing. Problem is I don't think he's been doing that at all in the last two games, he's been picking the safe option and he's been misplacing passes. It was quite notable that Kos put in a better ball to Santi for our goal than Santi managed to put into to any of our players in the entire game.

Times like this Wenger needs to be a bit more ruthless in changing things. Given that Ozil was out I can understand him picking Santi against Newcastle, but I hope he's a lot quicker to change things around based on form.

There are ONLY 2 central midfielders to have 50+ goals for Arsenal in our entire history since 1886. One is Aaron Ramsey, the other is Cesc Fabregas. Ramsey needs 3 more goals to beat Cesc Fabregas who has 57 as the club's highest scoring CM ever.

Wouldn’t be super surprising if he didn’t sign on for more yet.

He’s what 27 now? Should be right at his prime now. I would hold on to see what offers come in over the summer, and more importantly perhaps, what our coaching and personnel situation looks like.

He’ll want a few proper runs at the league and champions league before his career starts to decline.

Be great if Wenger would go too, give a replacement time to impress Ramsey.

Also the only way other clubs will match/beat us, financially, is if we allow him to go on a free so i think we will sell rather than endure another Sanchez.

The reason I think he'll go is cos of what happened earlier on in the season, specifically the game vs Pool at Anfield. I think Rambo likes Wenger a lot but no longer agrees with what's going on with the club.

I think his time has come, he's been at Arsenal for a long time and not really competed for anything that big, I think United/Chelsea will make a move. Can easily see Man Utd getting him. Matic/Pogba/Ramsey.
