Rewatched the game again tonight. Ramsey was very good. Touch was rusty but movement was great. Instrumental to the first goal, nearly scored a second right after Kompany took out Sanchez. Disciplined defensively too. You could tell Sanchez liked playing with him whenever we went forward. He was always there for a layoff. He looked dead in the water past the 60 minute mark but that was expected after such a long time out.

I also watched the game again, and also thought better of Ramsey after that. He was still guilty of bursting forward too much (so the discipline thing was not perfect), but he was much better otherwise than I thought watching it live. And that when he's clearly rusty still. Can't wait from him getting in the groove.

I'm quite confident that nobody actually gives a shit about rep. The general consensus when it was implemented was a giant, and collective, meh.

As for the ratings, i think Arsmile and Yuvken were the only ones who seemed to think their's through.

Tunnel Cam from yesterday's game. Love how Coquelin and Cazorla's approach is so different - the first totally focused barely cracked a smile, and Santi just laughing and joking around. Yet both produced a world class performance. To each his own...

Dont see the point of ratings thread myself, everyone can easily assess the players in a matchday thread if they feel so.

Rather than match ratings, I think it would be interesting to have a prediction league sort of thing for just Arsenal games. Scoreline and (first?) goalscorers. Wonder if we average it out, if our pooled knowledge/gut feeling could beat the bookies. On the whole I don't think this place is either overly optimistic or pessimistic so it could be close (good thing the man city game's out the way). And it'd set up a more transparent way to boast with the "I told you so's", at the moment too many people are getting away with it.

I really like how our newly-found balance means that we don't always rely on Ramsey doing something outrageous to either score or assist. So he can just stick to doing what he does best - beasting up the midfield. He doesn't try to force things as much as he did in the first half of the season and it makes him/the team so much better.

Those through balls to Walcott and Akpom are especially sweet though.

Good point Est. And it means if other people drop off form wise there is always the opportunity for Ramsey to come into form to balance it out.
