Thought he was pretty good today again. One assist, one ball that should have been an assist every day, and first-class workrate. That 90 yard run to put a stop to Southampton's counter went by quietly, but you didn't see anyone else on the pitch bust a lung like that all game.

It wasn't his best game but not his worst either. He has his running power back, just needs to get back his first touch again. He is just taking too much time to sort his feet out and hence rushing into his passes. He did assist our goal and constantly made himself available in attack and defense.

I think he needs a goal to get back some calmness and composure in his game and feet.

Thought he was poor, but then created right at the end.

Last season, he received the ball from Arteta, passed it to Ozil and then made runs off Giroud.

This season, he's been receiving from mostly Flamini and Wilshere, and then not knowing how to combine with Welbeck and Sanchez.

He was doing a hell of a lot more than that last season.

Same as the last game, lacking finesse. Otherwise it was a good performance, he's got the basics right and his positioning has been good. As Rohit said I think he needs a goal to get some confidence back, though hopefully the assist will help too.

Yeah, he worked hard defensively and still had enough running and energy in him at the end to be available to dig that ball out and get it to Sanchez.

Numerous over hit passes, dwelling on the ball with unnecessary additional turns and rash mishit shots.

I still think his positioning can be improved though as compared to last season. He's trying too hard to get a goal and sometimes can leave our defence very exposed with his runs forward. I guess that's what you get with him. It's a pro and a con.

Engine and running is great and all, but unless your doing something with it (and we've seen him be able to produce offensively AND defensively), engine isnt enough. As dules said, miles off where he was and where we know he CAN be.. if he start firing on cylinders again, our whole dynamic will change. (that, and getting some of our injured players back)

Felt he is getting back to his running through the game and combined will for the goal but has gone back to the Ramsey of a couple of seasons ago in terms of passing. Sometimes overcomplicating things and not doing the simple things right. Has looked a shadow of last year and shows in his confidence.

He created the only goal of the game. And we also only conceded 6 total shots all game so he demonstrably did enough defensively.

Can't say I noticed a mad abundance of dwelling on the ball, or unnecessary turns or rash shots.
Alexis was far poorer on the dwelling and miss hit pass front.

Ramsey has more load to carry this season, and it's killing him. Arteta, Ozil and Giroud were key in his performances last season.

He's been poor for my money, as well, and kind of reminds of Fabregas back in 2009. Lost a lot of players around him and is suffering.

I still think he'll play himself back into top form.

Maybe so but he needs to sort it out. He doesn't do it against the top teams either
