I think I'm going to punt a few quid on Juventus tonight. Probably won't pay off but you never know. They're not as good as Real Madrid but they are pretty underrated in Europe. And they excel at playing defensive and disciplined football, which is the very thing that Real have struggled so badly with against Simeone this season.

I think Atletico press much better, but I really hope Juventus can go through. Likeable players and capable of good football.

I hope Juve goes to the final as well. They really deserve it, I want Buffon to finally get his hands on the trophy. Allegri's team is always flexible and does well in Europe.

That said, we all know it's not going to happen if normal scenarios is going to happen. There are nowhere near the level of the big 3.

Interesting Lee, which teams outside of Europe do you think can challenge that assertion then? The Melbourne Victory maybe, Tokyo Antlers?

Juve started very well.

It was a simple enough tap-in this time, but the chance where he almost lobbed Casillas a few minutes earlier was brilliant. The lad knows where the goal is. I'd kill to have him at Arsenal.

Love how it came after the commentators repeated a dozen times how Real haven't conceded away in the CL for ages.

Buffon is pretty incredible. He's, what, 106 now? And still one of the top keepers in the world. No signs of physical decline at all.

Do you mean Juventus or Allegri's teams? Allegri's Milan did not always do well in Europe, at least not his last years there.

I did mean his teams. To be fair I think he performed well at Milan with the resources he has had. Out of 3 seasons in Europe there he got knocked out twice by Barcelona in the QFs IIRC which is understandable.

I actually find Juve to have fairly unlikeable players. Tevez, Chiellini, Pepe, Evra, Lichtsteiner, Matri are all pretty unlikeable to me. They have SOME likeable players (Pirlo, Marchisio, Buffon, Bonucci, Caceres are somewhat likeable), but overall, I dislike Juve.....
