Agree with this, as Arsenal fans/fans of the Premier league in general, I don't think we get much coverage of Bayern but they are by far the biggest bullies in football. While Juventus are the most corrupt and have single handedly destroyed that league, I've yet to meet an Italian who has a nice word to say about Juventus.

The Spanish clubs are a pain in the hole but on balance I think they're the lesser of the four evils.

Just curious, which local club are you from/support in Germany?

They actually deserved to go through. Chiellini should have been sent off and they had 2 clear penalties not given.

Juve was pretty bad. But they went home with that they came for. The only way they can survive the semis somehow is if they draw Madrid.

Barca v Bayern and Juventus v Real Madrid.

Shame, a Barca Bayern final would have been the best imo. The winner of that semi will win the final I reckon, Madrid probably have enough for Juventus but don't think they could beat the other two.

Just curious, which local club are you from/support in Germany?

Eintracht Frankfurt. Don't go to the stadium anymore but I still watch them most weekends, if the matches collide it's Arsenal first though.

The last time they met in UCL semi was a classic. Nedved goal superb.

Weird it doesn't show Zidane's goal in that game, was a classic that match. R.Madrid were without Makelele and their midfield was overrun by Juve, Nedved was unbelievable in that game. I had forgot about Del Piero's goal, that first touch was just :drool:

Idiots at R.Madrid then decided in the summer to flog Makelele because he wasn't the superstar they wanted, took them years to recover because they couldn't find that balance in midfield again. Remember Zidane in particular being quite annoyed about his sale. Florentino at the time was all about signing superstars, or Galaticos or whatever they were called then.

I loved football those days. We were brilliant to watch as well. IIRC that season was the one Newcastle recovered miraculously from 3 defeats in first 3 match to qualify for KO stage right? They had a few great matches with Juve as well. Italian football those days were so good.

Makelele being sold reminds me of how important Coquelin once again is in our side. No way should we not play a DM. Balance is superb now, lets not spoil it.
