Yep, it's amazing how much risk they take even when defending set pieces. It's really attacking is the best form of defence. Their technical ability probably bails them out though because it's rare they even misplace a single pass. They have struggled a lot at times with teams that vary between pressing and sitting deep, like the Madrid teams have done in recent years.

The English teams are so far from the top of Europe, and it's hilarious considering all of the spending.

This is why teams like Barcelona rip apart their domestic rivals on a weekly basis. It's not Spanish defending, it's just their attacks are on a completely different planet. Neymar and Suarez are top 5 world attackers, yet they're not even a patch on Messi.

Barca and Real are the two premium teams in Europe and they both play in Spain. They spend bucketloads for players and wages. Don't believe otherwise.
