Falcao to United is such a weird deal if you come to think of it. He was so good at Atleti all the top clubs are in for him, he choose to join Monaco for money when they don't have European football. Then now he joins a side that finished 7th last year without european football again and he is going to be 29, just recovered from a serious knee injury missing the world cup. Way to throw your career away, could have been a top player in Madrid or something.

Really hope he flops, or else its trouble for us. On form, he is the best striker in the world (exclude messi and ronaldo obviously)

welbeck must be a permanent deal for the reasons everyone has stated. even if we want to sell him later, we can easily recoup the transfer fee, as he's pretty good, english and young.

we really need more signings. so far, besides sanchez, everyone we've signed this summer has been a replacement, and with no overall increase in squad quality. that's not going to cut it.

I guess. My only point is if Wenger was unwilling to buy with Giroud and Sanogo in the side one can only imagine what the case will be when you add Danny into the equation. We'd be stuck with him long term and regardless of potential, at the moment he isn't good enough. Loan with an option to buy seems ideal to me.

Dunno if you mean he can't do it here or not. If you're disagreeing with me then I know he played on the wing. I said as much in the post. Just saying he's developed all that he could develops playing on the wings and is a pretty decent finisher when presented with chances. Certainly no worse in that department but would give us pace and movement behind in addition to what Giroud usually gives us given a chance up front.

If you were agreeing forget all that.
