Wenger lives in his own reality. He'll come up with some other bullshit to try to justify his latest inaction. This club will never truly compete until Wenger is gone. Nothing new here though.

Wenger is completely to blame for having left it so late. If you mention his interviews, do also point out that he keeps alluding to possibilities opening up at the end of the window. That approach is poor. We have needed a back up center back ever since Vermaelen left and he must have expressed his desire to leave a long time back. We tried to upgrade on Arteta last summer and haven't done enough to upgrade him this summer, who now is a year older.

Make no mistake, we started the window really well after having finished the season on a high. Wenger has poured ice water on all the hopes and positivity that was created.

Falcao agents insist he's been bought €65m for 4 years. Loan deal first for FFP reasons?

If true id say 65m & 325pweek for a world class 29 year old crock is way over our budget. Makes sense why real and city couldn't afford him either and he went to ManU.

AVB says defoe is every bit as good as Falcao and hes available for 6M.

Wenger is taking the piss. We have not added anything to our squad this summer. It just proves that for him, this is exactly the ideal squad size and the "2-3 players short" thing we have been talking about for years is not even a thing.

The situation with the center forward is still understandable. Ideally we needed someone better than Giroud, with him as back up. I was fine with Giroud though considering Wenger's plans on Alexis and Walcott weren't clear. Giroud's long term injury created a situation.

There is no excuse for being light on quality after two full summers in midfield and short in numbers on center back/ right back.

This is pure dereliction.

United are insane. They have a 29 year old Rooney earning £300K per week and now they're adding Falcao on even higher wages.

He's not to blame for missing out on Remy and Falcao, no. Everyone says we were in for them and willing to match other's offers.

Go back to when we signed Ozil and read the statement from the club about how Kroenke wants to invest money and wants the club to win. Then listen to Wenger's interview praising the good work done by others to get the Ozil deal done. All Wenger did was point to the one he wanted and then talk to the player on the phone.

Well he needs to point to someone else if he doesnt get his first choice.
Wenger praising other for the good work doesnt mean he is not involved in transfer...

If he looses out on a target then its not good enough to just say, oh well we tried.. there needs to be a number of back up choices.. He needs to comprimise and stop being so stubborn.. If his number one target is not getable then move on to something else and make a sacrifice, not go out and buy some kid from the second division... This is not the first time it has happened, Wenger has no problem going into a season with major flaws in the squad he has shown it time & time again.. We had at least 3 window, rolling in the cash to sign top class DM & Striker and it hasnt happened so money cant be used as an excuse. He just won't do what needs to be done to complete a squad, we need someone else who can.

Deulofeu only got 3 goals in 25 appearances for Everton. I thought he did better but obviously not. I reckon Sanogo can match that if hes lucky and stops waiting for the ball to bounce.

Generally you have a squad of about 25 players and as some leave you replace them. Thats how it works. Were not supposed to just add 10 players every window and keep the rest. We'd have a thousand players if we followed your strategy most of which would be far brittle with osteoporosis to play footie.

Yep all our players agents would be on the blower straight away looking for major pay rises aswell. Especially if they were matching Falcao performance wise. And you'd have not excuse to say no.
