Is Falcao's knee even in operation?

Wait a second, if we pay Monaco 20m how are we going to afford his wages?

Half of our attack would be recovering from ACL injuries if we loaned Falcao. That's a horrible way to enter a season.

Then we have a chance at Benzema. Falcao moving is the one thing that can salvage this summer.

Look apparently it includes wages too in the 20m.

so it's like a 13m fee to have him for one year, assuming that is even true. that's not a good deal. I don't know why you assume in your counterfactual hypothetical that we would let the other striker's contract expire and lose him on a free. that's generally not how we do business.

put it this way, if we bought a 28yr old falcao coming off knee surgery this summer for 30m, and then sold him next summer for 17m, I don't think we'd be talking about what a great bit of business that was.

I think we definitely would if he helped the team challenge for the title and maybe even little bit trophy success.

Potentially we could sign him on £1 per week deal and Monaco could pay him his normal wages in a lump sum out of the 20m loan fee.

if this were legal, what is stop all the big clubs from starting a lower division club in Monaco to sign their star players free of income tax, and then "loaning" to the real club?

or if they're not allowed to be related entities, then what's stopping OMIT from taking advantage of this tax arbitrage opportunity to start a club in Monaco, arrange to sign star players for a % fee, and then "loaning" them to big clubs?

OMG kami we're gonna be rich.

I think that's a top deal if it comes with a better chance at a title. I would roll the dice on that. We need to step up from mediocrity in attack.

Lads, I've got two words for you; how are we gonna afford his wages?

A real Brenton on the rise that Tim.

Forget about good business , was Andre Santos good business ? 20 m for a position we are desperate to fill ? I would happily loan Falcao for 20 mil. Shouldnt even be a discussion

I should say if the 20 includes wages

Do you mean business business, or football business? If it cost us 13m for a season to win the PL then that is surely good business?

Show business. 20m pounds is great business
