Great second goal from Atletico's Saul. Real Madrid is stunned.
Spanish football 2014/2015
This game reminds me of our shambolic showing today. Little brother landing knockout punches on big brother
At least something to cheer about today, class goal from Niguez.
If Real don't turn this around they will have failed to win any of their six matches vs Atlético this season so far. Insane stat, don't think they have had such a bad run vs any team in the history of their club.

Took them a while to beat Barca under Guardiola, no? Can't remember how long that run went, though.
Things have changed this season - Barca have beaten Atleti comfortably, while Real have had problems with them. Last season it was the other way around.
Can't wait for the next El Clasico, we've only had one this season, where Real won easily. Think Barca would them now.
Took them about two years but they played them only twice in 08/09 I think, then lost the Copa final the season after. Agree about the Clásico - biggest fixture in world football by far, although Atlético's recent matches against the two teams have been highly entertaining as well.
Real are getting ripped apart here, how they are down just 2-0 I don't know.
And there's the third!
Some cameo for 20 year old Saul Niguez, subbed on after ten, scored one, assisted one and went off after 70.
Ended 4-0. Little brothers' day, isn't it?
Dunno why casillas is still out embarrassing himself
Messi with zero, one or two goals (depending on whether they are ruled own goals or not) and two assists as Barcelona lead 4-2 against Athletic Bilbao.
In addition to being La Liga's all-time top scorer with his 265 goals, Messi is now tied with Luis Figo for most assists. Both have 107.
Mad game, 4 goals in 7 minutes.
Second was definitely an own-goal, missed the first.
Barca are fun to watch these days, best attack in the world while the defence are midfield and a mess. Will be great to see them just try and out-score teams in the CL.
5-2 now, Pedro scores but Messi does all the hard work. Brilliant.
Neymar has wasted plenty of chances tonight.

That goal was 90% Messi but is a goal for Pedro and assist for Busquets - an example of how stats should be used very sparingly in football.
Suárez is still out of his depth there, looks more Ibrahimovic than Neymar so far. People were seriously comparing him to Messi last season
Think Suarez was better than Neymar today.
Agreed that Neymar was poor today, over the season he's been miles better though.
Yeah, of course. He's been excellent.
It certainly isn't easy to come into the Barcelona squad. Every attacking player from outside are used to being the fulcrum of their teams' attack; when they come to Barcelona they have to learn to play as a role player, and often in a position they are not used to.
We have seen first hand what an absolute gem of a player Alexis is, especially when given the keys to run the attack as he does for us. He was tearing it up at Udinese too, but it is easy to forget that it took the better part of two seasons for him to really adapt to his new role at Barcelona. Neymar too took a long time to adapt so, despite hating Bitey McRacist's guts, I think it is fair to at least give him this season to adapt properly.
The past few weeks have shown that this can be a brilliant attacking trio, and I think it will turn out to be. Neymar and Messi's chemistry is out of this world, and Suarez is slowly getting there. It can top the 08/09 attack with Eto'o, Henry and Messi.
Villarreal equalised from a long shot that Ter Stegen really should've caught. Iniesta scored immediately after. 2-1.
