Alves is a good shout actually. Only two or three places he can go that'll pay him well enough and we can probably exclude Real from that list. Chelsea or City looking likely. I can see Real signing Silva, City signing Alves and Barca signing Bale. Milan will probably keep Ibra and use the money to reinforce the midfield and the defence.

He's refused to sign a new contract. Think it's partly personal but mostly it's about greed. He's not getting as much money as Xavi and Messi. City or Chelsea would pay him whatever he wants in a heartbeat.

Dumb move to pick Chelsea, they haven't even got a manager for fuck sake.

Realistically he was never coming here, but I'm still pretty gutted about it. Pissed off we didn't even try to get involved in the bidding. Just feels like the club is so small time right now.
