Wenger is never going to sell Theo, He is too emotionally invested. If he does I'll become a full card carrying member of the Arsene Wenger appreciation society 'cos that will be the signal he is actually taking steps to win something.

Walcott, just like RVP, has just over a year left on his contract and hasn´t signed a new one. I am positive Wenger doesn´t want to sell him, but it may not be up to him.

nobody will be stupid enough to pay Walcottt more than what we are offering him. We are even stupid enough as it is, The top clubs can do better and the others can't afford it.

Theo is slowly growing on me. I'd rather he stuck around, but he must be an option off the bench when all are healthy, not a starter.

Lagos, all I am saying is that I can well see teams being able to pay £20m for Theo and offering him £100k in wages. Fact of the matter is that he has been more productive than any other wing forward in the league. In a team less pass oriented than Arsenal I think he could do even better.

When Theo compares what Ash Young, James Milner, Samir Nasri, Stewart Downing were sold for and what they are earning - I am not surprised if he feels he should be up there.

I disagree Humble, In this day of super wages it is easy to think that those sort of wages are the norm. In truth the average premiership player earns less than £40k per week. My point is there are not many teams that can afford to pay such wages to a player who isn't their top player and not many teams pay the sort of wages Theo is reportedly demanding period. Of the teams that can afford it, Chelsea and the Manchesters I don't see any of them going in for Theo, the next lot are Pool, Toon and Spurs, I can't see him @ Newcastle or Spurs or Liverpool, which leaves the teams that can't really afford to make Theo their top player.

I can definitely see him going to Liverpool, if he becomes available. I even slightly suspect it might happen - they'd kill to have him, and I'm wondering if we might let him leave if he doesn't sign.

I've had this suspicion for a while now too that Podolski is a replacement for Walcott. Think the right side of the attack is earmarked for Chamberlain in that case. Wenger likes one forward type and one playmaker out wide. Traditionally the playmaker has played to the left but we've been attacking more up the right flank this season. Don't think it matters much where he plays as long as the balance is maintained.

I like Walcott but I suspect that the reason he hasn't signed yet (and part of the reason he went through a dry spell during the winter) is because he wants to play up front. And that's not going to happen at Arsenal. I would prefer to keep him but anything above £20 million is good business. If he doesn't extend there will be nineteen Premier League clubs showing interest in him, make no mistake about it.

We shouldn't be selling Theo to any of those 19 clubs

If he goes find a club in Germany, Italy or Spain to take him.

We shouldn't be in any way, shape or form strengthening our rivals this summer.

It's not that easy unfortunately. He's only got a year left with us. If he's got his mind set on a particular club he might be inclined to run his contract down rather than going abroad, and then we'll get nothing for him in fifteen months. Walcott is a self-professed Liverpool fan and it was bound to become an issue sooner or later.

So many Liverpool games I watch I see so much space on their wings because opposing full backs that Downing just refuses to exploit or maybe his crosses really are that poor. Walcott would be dangerous in that team.

Say what you want about him but put his 11 goals and 13 assists in that Liverpool team and they certainly wouldn't be in 8th place

If his sale allows us to bring in some one of the quality of Hazard then absolutly. No point if we are just going to bring in an average/ok player, he needs to be elite quality

If Podolski performs on the wings then i dont see Walcott getting many starts next season.

Liverpool would all over him if we decided to sell.

I think Theo extending would go a long way to making Robin pen a new deal.

Friendships at the club are very important as it creates a squad unity that we've lacked at times in the past few years with the Nasri-Gallas nonsense and Adebayor being a twat.

Theo would have to be an absolute mug to sign for Liverpool. Live in a shit city playing Europa football, and he wont even be on the sort of money to make it worthwhile.

Chelsea, who reportedly bid for him last summer and hold a long standing interest, now that makes some sense.

I do think Theo's priority will be to stay with us though. Just need to find an agreement.
