we can knock this one on the head tbh. with gotze ruling himself out, hazard is the marquee talent on the move. i think real and the manc clubs will slug it out for this guy.

If we were in for him & were willing to pay at the £80-90k mark, AND we qualify for the cl, I reckon we could get him.

Forget this M'Vila nonsense - we need a player like Hazard much more, and should be prepared to pay for it.

Will probably go for less but that's the sort of figure Lille were quoting last summer.

Kagawa seems to be £15m but that's just press figures, I have no idea what Dortmund would expect.

They can ask £20-25m if the demand is there, which is probably in line with what Hazard will go for.

Well yeah, it depends on whether the mega-rich clubs will be in for him or not. My guess is that the likes of City and Real will be going for Hazard rather than Kagawa though.

£20m is pretty much standard now. His contract situation is no different to Persie's (I actually think it may be better but I can't remember) and this place would go nuclear if we ever accepted below that for him.

It's true, £20m doesn't get you what it did 5 or 10 years ago.

Van Persie's situation is different though. He's a striker coming off a ridiculously good scoring season and there have arguably been only two players better than him in the world this season. Generally high scoring strikers cost more than anyone else as well. In Kagawa's case, there are a few other players who play the same position that are becoming available who are at similar level, so that may drive the price down a little.

If you look at the United squad, half of those guys were bought for around 18 million pounds. All of those guys, bar Valancia, are definitely inferior to Kagawa, and certainly all are eclipsed by Hazard. If United are in for either man, expect them to be willing to pay Rooney / Berbatov money to get it done. Same with the Spanish giants and Citeh. 15m for Kagawa would be an absolute bargain, and Dortmund must know that. He's probably ahead of Gotze now, and Dortmund were reportedly rejecting £35m bids for the German.

Also, his wages won't be astronomical, so in terms of the full package, a club will go that extra couple of million to get it done.

I heard he is on £700k at Dortmund.

Massive factor with Kagawa as well is surely what he'll earn whichever club buys him in shirt sales in Japan?

All things being equal, who'd have him over Hazard? I wouldn't.
