The summer will probably be a good one if we just sign Van Persie up to a long term contract, keep our current first XI + usable bench, and all our better young prospects, and get rid of the bad eggs and the surplus.
That's quite a tall order. I'd be gutted if we let a player such as Song leave. About the only regular first teamers we could be relaxed about releasing would be Gervinho and Walcott, and even then they'd need to be replaced by better players, which is not easy. Both have many great qualities.
Podolski looks like he's probably coming, if so that's good because we need to add goals more than anything, while preserving the balance that has got us back up to third.
