He didn't say he wanted to join Spurs. The options he has in England were listed by a presenter and all he did was nod and agree that there were a few options. Spurs were just one of the clubs listed.

And the quotes are 100% legit, he said it live on Canal+, a French TV station.

Haha, guys I was just joking, trying to imply why in the world would any bright young talent want to go the shithole of London.

Bit like when someone says they would like to build a house in the following places: Sydney, Madrid, Milan and then Tottenham.

You look at them and ask "Why the fuck would you want to go there?"

My french is rusty to say the least but he said something about transfer and some English nutter named Ricky stalking him on twitter and sending him naked photos.

Then said that is why he has chosen England. Each to their own.

That video doesn't work on my phone Ricky, but I read part of the transcript in L'equipe and according to them he's just repeating what he'd already told them in October.
He won't leave Lille this January - he's had a think about things and he's leaning towards a move to England.
Tempted by PSG but it's a non to them.

Makes no difference to me although I think Gotze will stay in germany for another season at least,

I don't think I've heard your thoughts on Hazard, only that you rate Goetze more.

Ricky, my view is that it doesn't matter who the other teams sign. Whether City have Silva or Goetze running the offense is irrelevent to me. We know that there are tough teams around us, and teams like United and Citeh aren't actually going to get much better regardless of who they sign.

For me, Hazard or Gotze on Arsenal. It doesn't really matter who. Just inject a bit of quality. Could care less about the carousel elsewhere.

I guess my question really was; Hazard or Goetze? Because if we manage to get either of them this summer we would have pulled off a bit of a miracle.

Think of it this way. Two options:
1) Hazard versus Walcott / Gervinho. Or
2) Goetze vs Wilshere.

Goetze is probably the better player of the two, but the relative improvement from bringing Hazard in might be greater. But I'd take either man in your impossible fantasy world of Arsenal signing stars, not making them. 🙂
