A couple of quality players added to the team when we also had those two and we would have been competing and possibly winning stuff. That's what we have to do better with the likes of Wilshere and Sneezey. I fear it is already too late to save RVP.

If we do manage to pull off this kinda signing then imo he could have as big an impact as david silva has in a free role behind van persie, it would make us contenders again.

Exactly and if we arent gonna win the title at least we would be entertained. I can imagine teams (even the likes of barca) dreading the thought of having to come up against two quick, skillful, talented wingers a class midfielder who can pass and dribble and a striker who can score in every game.

That can´t be the benchmark though since no one other than RVP is scoring. The point is that neither of Wilshere, Hazard and Oxpot have proved they would contribute more than the crap we see these days.

i'm with capi, i don't see goals there and that's sort of why i don't see hazard as the ideal signing. in an ideal world, the signing i'd want is rooney except with a different face and not a douchebag. if that player costs 35m and 200k/week, then it's good we haven't spent a penny on transfers in 7 years and we'll have 350k/week in deadwood coming off the books this summer.

Oxlade has bags of goal scoring potential. He already has a decent goal to start ratio this season and he couldve easily bagged a goal against Man utd with a little bit of luck. When you watch him play, you can clearly see a goal threat there.
