So given that Lille have announced a price of 50m euro for Hazard (basically a for sale sign, so negotiable), who do we think will sign him? Has to be one of Chelsea, City or Real. Can ManU go that high? Anyone else?

Real Madrid are obviously the red hot favourites. Can't see an English club getting him, unless we're prepared to go to €30M+.

It would be fantastic, but it's not realistic. We already have Ramsey, Wilshere and Chamberlain - who we have to make room for, and then the likes of Coquelin, Frimpong and Ryo coming through behind them. We can't have every great talent, as much as I'd like us to.

Would prefer only one of Gotze/Hazard and then somebody like Kagawa. That would be perfect considering that Arshavin, Benayoun and Rosicky will probably be gone by the end of the season.

Watching Kagawa last night, I came to the conclusion that he's a central player, and potentially a very good one. Wouldn't fancy him out wide in our current team.

Oh right. I already think we have a bit of a headche fitting both Jack and Aaron into the team, and getting the best from them, so I wouldn't be for signing Kagawa - who I think isn't quite as skilled as those two.

Don't want any more Russians either, Dules. Too much of a risk that they won't settle. Dzagoev is a central player too, from what I've heard. Doesn't appeal to me at all.

That is the quality of squad needed if we ever hope to win something again. There's no such thing as having a headache to fit players in; this is competitive sport at the highest level.

We always have four more offensive players: VanPersie, striker 2, Walcott, Gervinho, Ramsey, Kagawa, Gotze, Chamberlain.

Two midfielders: Wilshere, Arteta, Song, Song 2.

That's perfect.

That's a lot of players listed there, Capi.
I'd be happy with just one of the rumored names coming to Arsenal. If we got, eg, Gotze, we can keep the ghost of Arshavin around for another season while we wait for Chamberlain

Realistically, we need to concentrate on getting RVP and Theo to sign new deals, shift some more of the dead weight-Squillaci, Chamakh, Bendtner, Arshavin- bring through a couple more of the youngsters to fill in some squad places-Afobe, Bartley, Joel Campbell, AND look to bring in one top attacking player that can give us that extra 5-10% to challenge again.

Personally, the player that most appeals to me is Giuseppe Rossi. He's had a bad injury this season, Villarreal are truly skint and wont be getting CL footy next year. I think we could get him for £20-25m. He's 24, can play anywhere across the front 3 and in the hole and he scores bundles of goals. English is his first language and he's already lived in this country for 3-4 years. Perfect signing.

It's only two players in each position of varying quality. Unfortunately, this is what we are up against.

We can't expect the club to have options similar to City.

I think Tim has it spot on above. Get some of the promising youngsters into the squad, shift the dead wood and bring in one super attacking talent. Although, Rossi doesn't do it for me as much as Hazard, the Belgium would get my vote. But there are a lot of great players out there that I'd be happy with.

They aren't similar options though. They are affordable options with just about the right amount of quality.

Personally, I think Kagawa is the one too many. He's a quality footballer but he wouldn't get in my starting line-up ahead of Ramsey or Wilshere, in that central position. Out wide we've got Gervinho, Theo and Chamberlain, I'm happy with all three of them, one more - Hazard or Goetze - as a wide option still capable of playing in the middle when needed, I reckon would give us a good set of options.
