Having a player who can develop his game in multiple positions is ideal.

He should get minutes at RB and DM before getting into the heart of CB in a competitive game.

Wenger have never really talked about Chambers at RB so I am hopeful it will be Bellerin as backup.

Made a few mistakes, which is understandable but there's something about him you can just tell he's going to be top class for us. Credit to Wenger for paying a lot to bring him in when most of us were caught off guard by the transfer and weren't expecting it.

I can see it. Got a decent touch and quick feet, can spot and play a good pass, a bit all action - likes to get tight and make interceptions.

But he also looks good at CB. From Wenger's interview, he was very impressed by Chambers today - said he deserved a special mention for being outstanding.

I don't think Wenger will ever play Chambers as a DM. Gonna be a CB for sure, might cover for RB once in a while.

I'm not sure Chambers actually plays like Cahill. Mostly just moves like him.

And yeah it's crazy to think he's only 19.

I wrote this in the cup thread earlier, but it's hard to understand that he wasn't a regular for Southampton. Perhaps we bought him right at the transition between promising talent and nailed on starter.

Seems a natural defender in that he anticipates danger, appears to have that necessary amount of paranoia.
Top quality to have.
He's young and inexperienced though, so I hope his trajectory continues upwards and that he won't be called upon as our regular CB and have too much expected of him too soon.
