Sanchez has got to play wide right, he's far too perfect for the role not to play there.

Yeah, unless he finds a way to drift around from the center and create space for Ozil, Ramsey and other forwards to move into, his on the ball ability will get slightly wasted at point.

Oxlade is a talent and that will remain the case while he is young. He has to start delivering a more intelligent performance to go with his natural running ability or he will end up as another Aaron Lennon type who never really breaks through at the top level.

You can have a dribbler that comes from deep at CF if you have at least one actual winger to stretch the pitch.

You can have 2 CMs who drop to the top of the box as long as your striker knows how to get in behind.

he doesn't have the vision to be a central player. and that's one of those either you have it or you don't things. that move where he missed ozil in acres of space was just too galling. wenger has got it wrong many times on how players would eventually develop so just because he feels ox is a central player doesn't mean he's one.

Better game yesterday. Made some good runs on and off the ball, but his close control still needs work.

Least composed player in the squad. Needs to start making the right and smart decisions.

both him and jack have plenty of gifts, but arent harnessing them yet. when you see how efficient sterling is becoming you know that these two can be doing better

Him and Wilshere are often trying to do too much. Forcing things. Not surprising given the pressure people put on them.

Was the same with Ramsey in the first few games this season.

Definitely ups our intensity and energy.. He's a must in the line up for me

His touch in the build-up to our first goal was lovely. As was his Koscielny-esque flying block in the second half.

Still a bit inconsistent at this stage, but it's great that we can ease him in now that we've got Alexis and don't need to rely on him on a consistent basis. Games like Villa are ideal for him to slowly get back to full sharpness, while it also gives us an option of resting the likes of Wilshere and Alexis.

I like Oxlade but I feel like someone of his ability doesn't have as much of an impact as he should. He doesn't get involved enough and he has a tendency to start well and then become largely peripheral the more the game goes on.

I'd like to see him add more variation to his game. For someone with his pace and dribbling ability he really could be doing a lot more. Maybe drop the shoulder and cut inside every now and then, as opposed to knocking it to the byline and crossing it to a team that really doesn't have many header-ers.

As it stands, while he's direct, he's not really scoring or assisting or having that much of an impact when he starts. More of a super sub at this point I feel.

I generally agree with that Looch but I think he actually needs less variety in his game and to focus more on impact in the final 3rd. Take a page from Theo's book and go for it more. As you say he's not really impacting games the way he should.

Sanchez is best playing right center, like he had done in the first 5 games. The same right center role that Walcott plays just next to the CF. However, this affected Ozil who had to play left center. Clearly, it's an issue having to play Ozil right behind Welbeck and Sanchez right alongside. He can play wide right like he did at Barcelona, but that would limit him.

Wenger has a serious dilemma of accommodating Walcott, Sanchez and Ozil behind Welbeck, without compromising any of them. We certainly can't play 4-2-4, so the other option is having Wally and Sanchez playing as wide midfielders in a 4-4-1-1, or as higher wide players in the recent 4-1-4-1, but with Ozil playing as deep as Wilshere.

Why can't we just play 4-2-3-1 with Theo on the right and Alexis on the left? Alexis provides so much work rate and enjoys defending so it's not like playing two Theos.

-----Welbeck-----
Alexis-Özil--Theo-

Although I think we might see Wilshere being used wide now and again too. He's an Iniesta style player who can be really well at both CM and wide.
