Yeah, sure. We are not really as bad as todays meltdown might have suggested.

I always knew during the summer that we will have a rocky start. We had most players going far at WC, we gave them more rest time than some other clubs gave to their players, we have had no time to gel our supposedly most important piece in the attack WHILE we of course managed to pick up some injuries as well (Gibbs, Arteta and Giroud). In addition we had to play CL qualifiers too.

Think we will pick it up after the international break.

Mourinho last season, saw that his 3 strikers Ba, Torres and Eto'o weren't firing, acknowledged it and what did he do about it this summer? Upgrade all 3 with Costa, Drogba and Remy.

If only we had a manager with common sense like that.

They lost 3-0 to City last week. You won't find anyone denying their top four status. Some, including me are not yet sure if they are better than us. I think we will improve a lot.

You often talk of 10 games as a marker and I think it's extremely fair. We will know where we stand vis-a-vis these teams at the end of October.

Rooney's the captain so probably gets in somewhere but that's such a championship manager line up. Central defence still dodgy IMO and hopefully too many new players to gel but enough individual quality to win games. Going to be interesting.

edit: possibly Herrera ahead of Blind too, or both depending on the opposition.

We will never know if LVG is a genius now. That team should be winning the league hands down if they know the 352 system well.
