Doesn't mean he can't.
He's an oddball but he's got a lot of good ideas as a manager.
😆 , Y Va i rate the boy. he's resurrected Liverpool where men like Dalglish failed. he plays a very progressive attacking style. i wish Wenger would watch and learn. we have guys like Campbell, Podolski, Sanchez, Ox, etc. we can emulate this, no?
Wenger's had teams that were lauded as the best to watch for years, they never won anything either.
Wenger doesn't need to learn from Brendan Rodgers.
Teams will slowly start giving Liverpool a lot of respect and sitting back with 10 men behind the ball deep in their own half. It will be interesting to see how Liverpool manage to create without Suarez then.
They are quick and direct but they do get a lot of space for their vertical runners.
Rodgers is an excellent manager. That should be obvious to everyone. He has a vision of how he wants Liverpool to play and, more importantly, knows how to implement that as well. Liverpool are very vulnerable at the back though. Southampton dominated at Anfield.
I don't know if Rogers can get Liverpool to win anything because City and Chelsea are just ridiculously strong. But the squad he inherited from Dalglish was an absolute mess - he's done well to sort that out as quickly as he did.
Kel, they're vulnerable at the back, but they're hardly ever exposed because they overwhelm most teams with that attack. you need to have excellent full backs and a DM to stop them. if you are able to do that, then you can start asking questions of their defense. they have 2 losses in 21 because most teams are just under pressure from the 1st minute trying to track Sterling and Sturridge. with our current fullbacks and DM situation, i think we will struggle again at Anfield against these chaps
Bracket A: Chelsea, City Bracket B: Arsenal, Liverpool Bracket C: Everton, Spurs, Man U.
That's how I see the season panning out.
I liked Liverpool under Dalglish. They created a lot of chances back then but just failed to convert.

We will struggle because we lack athleticism and our passing game is nowhere near as good as it should be. If we could keep possession better and be more productive on the ball, we could push Liverpool back. Like Southampton did last week and City did last year at Anfield.

Yep, sounds about right, though I think Liverpool will be closer to falling into bracket C than us given that team's relative inexperience in playing CL and PL.
pool are our competition for 3rd. united could come into it if they sort their shit out by xmas
I think more like Bracket A: Chelsea, City Bracket B: Pool Bracket C: Arsenal Bracket D: Everton, United, Spurs
Rodgers interview: 'Raheem ran into the box like Ricky Villa and finished it like Ricky Gervais'”
Yeah, I can't take him seriously.
😆
Please tell me that's not a real quote?!

While we are slow and wait till people fall back into their position meaning no space for us.

Absolutely.

There seems to be this idea that teams sit back against us whilst other teams are afforded more space. Reality is that all teams sit back and also push forward. We are so slow to counter that it allows teams to send players back. Other teams attack so quickly that they don't allow the opposition enough time to drop their line. All teams face both types of defences. We're just poor at attacking vertically at speed. That's why it seems like we always face a deep defence, because we are just too slow. Plain and simple.
We are slow, it's true, we like to pass it short rather than passing it further forward when we win the ball. I don't have this idea that teams only sit back against us. I think teams respect City and Chelsea too. I do think that Liverpool because they haven't been challengers for so long don't get the same respect, teams do commit more when they have the ball against Liverpool. That's the impression I get anyway.

For me. United will sort their shit out.
