Wenger is incredibly nice and respectful to ex players even if they aren't all deserving of that respect. He would never come out and say that Cesc had to settle for Chelsea or that Arsenal had rejected him. Even in situations where the club wanted to get rid of the likes of Adebayor and Song and took oppurtunities to do so, he didn't bad mouth them or come out and say that club wanted rid. He simply doesn't care what people think, even if it makes Arsenal look weak.

If Arsenal had wanted Cesc, they would have gotten Cesc. It's a terrible decison from the club IMO. But it's quite obvious we'd said no thanks once his agent started throwing everything against the wall to see what stuck. United, City and Liverpool all took the unusual step of coming out and saying that the media reports citing their interest in him this season simply weren't true. So he signed a good deal with the club that wanted him and gets to live in London which is the best for his family situation. Football careers don't always turn out how you expect them, even for the most talented players.

Gutted Fabregas went to Chelsea, but IMO we didn't need to for him as we have so many AM options and we would need to revamp the team for him again. Also we still need that world class forward to take advantage of the hub of creativity we already have.

IMO Wenger still likes to throw barbed comments at players who have left of their own accord. He talked about Sagna recently and on his making up his mind early last season about going to City which the latter denied and questioned why he needed to say it. Wenger is someone who throws in little comments to say its not his fault if events don't fit the narrative of his "right way, master-plan, qualifying for Champions League for x number of seasons, managed a 1,000 games, he could have left us at any time and we are lucky to have him etc".

Balotelli, Sturridge and Sterling start for Liverpool, might not be the best, but on a good day is pretty good.

Chelsea have a few weaknesses in their side. They are a bit like us in the sense that they crowd the central areas of the pitch when they go forward. That leaves them vulnerable to counter attacks out wide. Matic lacks a bit of pace and mobility to provide sufficient cover. However, we have the exact same problem. We also have other serious problems.

Realistically, I'd say Chelsea are the clear favourites, with City as the main challenger. Unless something big happens today or tomorrow, we won't win. Think we'd end up 5-10 points behind Chelsea.

Tough one to call, this. What does everyone think? Liverpool probably have the slightly better team but Tottenham have the home advantage. Both sides are fun to watch, go for 2-1 Tottenham.

One of the worst games of the season, right up there with Mancs v Pool or Chesea vs Pool - no matter what the result, will feel terrible (unless it's a 0-0 with about 5 players from each side suspended) 😃
