They're desperately searching for a new mind-games hero. Think they're bored of Mourinho.

De Gea has been in top form recently and everything's going for him (e.g. parrying Balotelli shot onto the bar, Sterling choosing not to hit half an open goal). There will be periods where it doesn't go for him. Deserves praise as he did his job but today at least, it's more a case that the finishing has been pathetic. Usually all the focus would be on how Balotelli is doing a Torres.

I was just about to say about Balotelli? What has happened him? I didn't want him in the summer because of his attitude and the way he goes missing in games but even when he's into a game now he's terrible. His finishing is incredibly poor.

Szczesny makes those saves and nobody gives a shit, but when De Gea does it people just can't stop salivating over it.

Nothing's happened to him. He wasn't that talented to begin with. The way some certain people talked about him on here was funny at times.

Haven't seen enough of him but whoever we get in an attacking position from now on has to be a top quality player. It'll take Sanchez-Ozil money. If Bony is (or has potential to be) one of the world's best players, then fine. Anything short of that, there's no need.

@starlord Considering he was much better when he was playing for City at 20-22, obviously he was more talented than he's showing.

Unless Wenger pulls out a Koscielny-like suprise from Ligue 1, I don't see many top quality strikers who aren't already at an elite European club.

Bony's numbers are pretty decent. A proper 1 in 2 striker for a Europa-level club in the PL. He's probably worth considering if we are planning on a Giroud upgrade.

Similar to Giroud but possibly better? I'm not really sure. Definitely would have preferred him to Welbeck but at this point I think we need to go for someone in the very top bracket.

He's actually scored the most Premier League goals in 2014, but he hasn't had much competition there. Aguero and Sturridge injured, Suarez fucked off, Costa and Sanchez arrived too late.

It's 3rd or 4th for us anyway, it makes little difference. Both play Champions League qualifiers. The more serious offense is that we could have been challenging this season with a bit more proactive transfer policy in the last 2-3 years.
