Totti was/is massively overrated.
Totti was one of my favorite players as a kid. I watched him in 2002 at the World Cup and thought he was a top defensive midfielder. A real destructive force.
😆

Totti is incredibly underrated.
No Totti, no party.

Me too 😆
Here's another controversial opinion along that same line: Squillaci wasn't a bad signing. He did exactly what he was supposed to do for two seasons. We kept him around for too long, possibly because we couldn't move him on those wages, but we didn't really need him once we had signed Mertesacker. He was a good stop gap up until then.
I don't think I'd call him a good signing but it was a signing that made sense. For whatever reason he was just not very good here. He'd been a solid player in Spain and France though.
Our team and managers make defensive players look worse than they are.
thought oleg luzhny would be a beast for arsenal
Lol Luzuny. He had a great game in the cup final of 03 to be fair.
My controversial opinion?
Thought Senderoes was going to be the best defender on the planet....oops.
I thought Giroud would be a great signing for us.
Giroud has been a good signing for us unless you expected him to be Henry.
Great > good
We don't need a big one in midfield
We don't need a big one in the middle so long as we have plenty big ones at both ends..
I'm bored by the reference to the old great Wenger sides.
That's because there haven't been any new ones.
Sanchez still has to prove himself in the PL, It's not a given that he will be a success.
That goes for every player who joins an English club.
