This would be the transfer to beat all transfers for me - have been a huge fan of this guy for many years now - real wishlist material. Not denying that Ozil was great, but somehow didn't feel like a great transfer at the time, especially given the circumstances - just Wenger buying a Wengery player, even if for 42m. Obviously, getting Sanchez has changed that up a bit and if we get Khedira, will really be great for the team. Also, the good thing is that none of these big buys from Wenger are prima donnas or come with any of the usual attitude issues that big players tend to have - they seem reasonably well adjusted human beings, who can play in a team. Having said that, time will tell I guess - look how RvP turned out. Who would have predicted that!
