Arsène Wenger very keen on Seamus Coleman, I'm told. Expect a bid.

Would cost a bomb.
Great player though.
A bomb worth dropping.
Best RB in the league.
Probably would be a bit rich for a fullback. He's a good player overall but he's not great defensively.

Thats not true at all. People seem to assume because he contributes in the final 3rd that he can't defend. He was excellent at both ends of the pitch all season.

I didn't say he was bad defensively, just not great. I think he's just about as good defensively as Gibbs.
I don't like the idea of Coleman playing behind Walcott at all.
I say go for it. Would add loads to our attacking game. Having a great 'defensive' right back didn't exactly do much for us in the big games last year anyway.
Like the idea of Colman , just the price turns me off.. we have a limited budget regardless of what people say and a 20m will eat into that significantly
Be nice for the Irish contingent here if he joins us
Like a new Eddie McGoldrick.
Coleman will be ace.
Sagna was pathetic in all the big games anyway. Coleman is so much faster and recovers superbly well from attacking positions.
I could do without a new winger if Coleman joins. Add another dimension to our attack.
He's the sort of fullback we need to make up for our lack of width.

Then bring in the appropriate right forward
Can we please bring in that player before we sign a rightback to accomodate him?

i used to look at it that way when i wasn't expecting much incoming money, now after cesc and [potentially] vela bringing in around 14m, we should be able to overspend our budget. if we budgeted 10m for RB, this extra money could allow us to overspend. and verm will bring in some extra money too.
We have him
Chambo
ill be surprised if we drop 20m on the rb position. doesnt feel like we're spending alot this window
