I'm intrigued by the opportunity to pick up a couple of (good) free players to bolster the squad with in a summer where we need to invest most of our money in the starting eleven.

😆 Fair enough, that kind of influence could be disastrous. It took us almost two years to sort out Giroud's clothes. Imagine if he started to model himself on Pejcinovic and somehow managed to make his hair look even worse.
Giroud's gone all Hugo Boss these days, no more style disasters.
If Wenger's going for freebies I hope it's just for squad depth, surely it would be?
Certainly talk well about him there, apparently he's extremely aggressive in his play - this aspect of his being formed due in part to growing up in Kosovo during the war. Won the 2nd highest number of duels in L1, as well.

how is brede hangeland looking these days? 32 and available on a free. decent depth at CB or no? he must be pretty slow these days, but so is mertesacker.
Can you imagine a Hangeland and Mertesacker CB pairing though? The stuff of nightmares right there.
Every match would be like that scene in Empire Strikes Back where the AT-AT walker gets taken down.
