Simply down to supply and demand, people here will pay the high prices so naturally clubs will charge more. In most of Europe the fans aren't willing to pay as much, I believe many countries have all the live matches on TV so they'll just watch it at home if needs be.

Bayern just finished paying off the entirety of their €346m stadium loan 16 years earlier than expected. Pretty impressive.
Very impressive, notice people will compare them to us but it should be pointed out their situation is quite different to ours. Firstly it was a joint venture with 1860 Munich, they later bought their share out for around €11m when a corruption scandal broke. Their total cost was less than ours, partially thanks to the local government paying for the local area and infrastructure costs. Also due how successful they were they've always been a massive club so monopolised much of the commercial revenue in Germany. IIRC even now they have higher commercial revenue than the likes of R.Madrid or Man Utd. That huge revenue is what has kept them competitive among the best in Europe. As they are privately owned (by the members I think) they've also sold large shares in the club to Adidas (€75m), Audi (€90m) & Allianz (€110m) and most of that money has gone towards bringing their debt down. Think they announced in Feb they were going to use that money from Allianz to get the stadium debt free
Very well run club, doing things exactly the right way. Building a sustainable business model and investing that into the club and getting results on the pitch. They are looking to expand the capacity up to around 75k as well I believe. Gazidis has on more than one occasion said they are the club we are looking to emulate. A bit far off that at the moment though.....
