At least he's going to one of our feeder clubs. We'll snap him up just as he's heading into his prime.
David James is bankrupt and auctioning off all the memorabilia from his career.

6 Arsenal players in the England squad, Chambers, Gibbs, Walcott, Chambo, Wilshere, Welbeck. Add Jenko, Hayden, Akpom for the future.
Slightly risky letting woy get his hands on a recovering Walcott after he has destroyed both liverpool's speedsters. I know Wenger said the training would be good for his fitness but i hope he doesn't get game time.
He needs game time surely.
How on earth did James end up bankrupt?
I was wondering the same thing. Did he throw all his coins into wishing wells hoping for more money?
Perms are expensive yo
Gambling I'd assume. Usually the way for these guys isn't it?

Loving it. Must be very satisfying for Wenger after all those years of being blamed in the media for the death of English football etc. He always said "I will give you a strong national team one day" and it's starting to come true. Remember Pardew and that "made in Britain" bust up they had on the sideline? Look who has the French team now.
I see Johnson was left out so looks like Chambers is going to continue to get the chance to lock down the right back spot.
Now he's just responsible for the death of Arsenal football.

He should watch Friday Night Lights before making comments like that.
Beautiful day in Wellington today for a home match tonight. Looking forward to seeing Wellington Phoenix batter the new Asian champions who will hopefully be jaded after traveling half way around the world this week. There's debate on the Phoenix forums about whether the players do a Guard of Honour or not, with most feeling against it since it was a competition we wouldn't be allowed to enter if we were to win the league. A lot of talk of it being pathetic, demeaning and admitting they are better before kickoff too which I don't agree with. I think it would show respect and a bit of class from the club to do it personally and doesn't demean anyone or any of that nonsense.
Interesting to see if it happens anyway. Also apparently 15 minutes before kickoff there is going to be some sort of chanting to be recorded for the new Mad Max film.

Kept fumbling and dropping his wallet?

While I can certainly understand Phoenix fans not wanting to do it from a club pride point of view, I think they should given the bigger picture of what the Wanderers' achievement means for the A League as a whole and football in Aus and NZ more generally.
I don't get it at all. You don't participate in the same league.
Yep, the Phoenix play in the A- League.
Yeah NZ's only professional team and they play in the A League. I agree they should have done a Guard of Honour but didn't in the end. Good game and 1-0 sw win so guess that means we're the best team in "Asia" now.
Also went along to the "official" (sponsor) bar for the first time after the game where they have a post match function with speeches etc then the players hang around and have a drink and chat with the fans. Was quite cool to shake hands with the manager and about half the team.
