I think its more likely PSG would let Cavani prove himself (as a PSG starter) as a CF next year with Morata second string. Then Morata can take over from there as need be....

May have just been South Korea but Morata had a big game against them today. Scored a nice header and involved in plenty of build up play...he's got a great build.

€65 million is _£50 million, probably with a couple of million structured as a bunch off add-ons in the event that we win the league and such. It sucks ass to have to pay that much for someone who isn't the finished product, but I'm not sure you're gonna get a striker for much less these days. There's a real dearth in the market and it looks very unlikely to clear up in the next few years.

If Morata gets in the goals more he's a complete striker. He's has everything else and he's a big game player. Has a knack of scoring important goals like mark Hughes back in the day.

More so if we're going to stick to a lone CF formation and roles and a possession based style.

50m pounds for a 24 year old striker when guys 4 to 5 years older are going for the same or more? Not the same. Unlike Higuain or Cavani, he still has resale value. If he's actually available at that much, I would not hesitate. It's a no-brainer. Nice thing about him is that we wouldn't lose all the aerial ability that Giroud has brought to the team. I fear some of the other options would take us from being an aerial threat back to useless.
I would urge Wenger to throw everything at this and be done.

Those guys 4-5 years older are actually scoring 20-30 goals more though.

That being said, I'd still take at that price. Hope we're actively pursuing him.

I would certainly want a Mahrez along with Morata.
We should actually go after Mahrez now that Vardy has fekked around. And teach Vardy a lesson in the process.
