Loïc Rémy is my choice has the best suited striker for us. He's what Arsenal need, a striker that will run behind the defense and at opponents. We do not need Benzema. Benzema love to get involve the build up of plays, he love to touch the ball. We do not need a playmaker at the no. 9 postion, we need a finisher. I am well aware that Benzema is technically superior and a better footballer to Rémy but we need speed upfront and a striker that will shot on sight when given a chance.

For the DM position I would go with Schneiderlin.

I'd be satisfied with Balo, Vela, Schneiderlin, Aurier and a keeper.

"Anybody who has played with Mesut will tell you how intelligent he is as a player," Lahm told Goal. "His vision is probably the best I have ever seen and that is why it is so important to have the right striker ahead of him.

"He is a dream for strikers and you saw that with [Cristiano] Ronaldo and [Karim] Benzema when he was at Madrid. If Arsenal can find the right striker who is fast and makes intelligent runs - then Mesut will be devastating next season."

Lahm knows what's up.

As long as Verms doesn't leave, that would be spectacular.

Agree with this Shinda. I'm surprised there are so few Remy backers here

Agree as well. He would be an unspectacular yet effective signing I think and the perfect alternative to Giroud. Problem is whether he can take us up a level and make the difference in the big games? With Theo out I really want a top class wide forward with pace and finishing ability in abundance who can be the deciding factor in those games. Pedro would be ideal I think.

Remy is no better than Giroud.

but he's better as a scorer than anyone else on our team (bar Theo who is always injured anyway). that's a good enough reason to bring him along. i see him as a Vela/Griezmann alternative versus a Balotelli/Mandzukic alternative.

He's shit on the wing though. May as well just play Podolski there.

Remy is bang average. Pace alone doesn't make you into a quality striker.

have you guys ever looked at our frontline? the bar for improving that frontline is not very high. we're a couple of steps up from having a Bobby Zamora in there

He's was awesome the year Fulham made the Europa league final. Better than giroud.

that's provocative talk right there

Im surprised by this also.

Why is someone like Theo Walcott treated many times as our saviour and Remy is just 'average'?

Remy is criminally underrated on this forum.

Remy is a pretty good striker. He's a lot more technical than he's been given credit for. There's a bit of Louis Saha over him perhaps.

He's not the guy you go for when you need to radically improve your attack though. We need someone with a broader register and a higher peak.

remy has 14 goals in only 26 games in a poor Newcastle side. imagine him when he's getting service from players like ozil, ramsey, cazorla & walcott. I'd be very happy if we signed him and do believe he'll get around 25 goals in the league alone for us.

He's also tall, he's not some midget speedster.

He's 6'1" with bags of pace, a good touch, and enough height to lead the line in the PL.

He'd be a bit underwhelming, but would be an excellent signing imo.

Would be a terrible signing. Yes, he offers pace, but his link up play is shit. We'd go from a slow, but decent link up player to a quick, but shit link up player up front. A complete waste of money and would barely improve us as a squad and team. Ffs people, get a grip.

great player in addition to a top striker.
our scorers right now
Giroud - unfairly hated across Gooonerland
Podolski - great finisher who offers little else
Walcott - good but always injured
Sanogo - no goals

we clearly need to add at least two options here.

We're not going to get more than one addition and frankly I'd rather get one Cavani/Benzema/Costa type player than Remy plus Vela/Griezman.
