Nah, we dont need Wanyama. Arteta was perfect for us before his legs went, and this guy seems to be that version of Arteta with potential to spare.

Arteta was decent. He was hardly "perfect" for us. Plus he initially had Song in support before we sold the Cameroonian.

I disagree.

robust ... hmmmmm. what does that word mean to you?

If Arteta were meaner looking instead of a Spanish passer with great hair nobody would contest that point. He is strong and has good tackling technique and wins a lot of duels. He lacks recovery speed, isn't great in the air, and needs rotation at his age, but in general he does very well in 50-50s for me. He's our captain now, I wish Arsenal fans would try to show some respect for what he brings to the table.

Don't be a clown. No one has disrespected his great hair and good looks

We all know his strengths. It's his weaknesses which you have quite clearly identified that make him a liability for the role he needs to play in the team.

Indeed. Wanna see a robust tackler? He was playing in midfield for Man City today and we could've had him for 15m pounds.

he doesn't need my respect. arsenal pay him a lot of money to play whatever role it is that he plays. verm was captain last year, big deal.

did you ever see vieira play for arsenal? he was a robust tackler. he didn't have a certain look that conned me into thinking he was a robust tackler because i stereotyped him. it was there for me to see. i know a robust tackler when i see one and arteta is not that.

and you just basically made the case why he shouldn't be starting.

I've reached the point where I so want us to sign Rabiot. Looks the nuts

Will very disappoint if it turns out to be houseboat

--------Walcott
Chambo---Ozil--Alexis
-----Rabiot -Ramsey
Gibbs-Kos-Per-Debuchy
--------Szczesny

Lush

Arteta is still a very good player, but he lacks pace and he needs a bit of rest here and there.

I like that team a lot. Since Rabiot (and presumably Manolas) would come cheap, it would be good to sign a worldy/potential worldy for the left wing or upfront. You think Wenger's hard-on for Draxler has subsided yet?

I hope so, he looks like another Van Persie to me.

Reus is the man to get. I say that having a very high opinion of Draxler.

Arsenal have made PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot a very good offer & could finalise the deal soon, reports @DiMarzio

Rabiot is one for the future. Would probably influence our season very little.

The guy has had a decent impact on every game he has played. He has just been forced out by PSGs decisions to buy more players every window.

IMO he would bring the same qualities as Arteta right now, but with an obvious lack of experience and a huge increase in athletic ability.

This deal makes sense to me. Ideally we could get a more experienced player in but this is the next best alternative. He's not just another prospect seeing as he's made a fair number of appearances at PSG.
