Indeed, we've already got one who came with a massive price tag.

He's worth a punt for sure, I quite like his personality. If it's trust and bird he is looking for than Wenger to let him get on with his thing.

He's just a bit of a troll, at worst he would upset a few squad members, at best he could score 20+ league goals. If he could work something out with Ozil, then those as a duo could be deadly. But Wenger only signs Spanish, French or Germans, so I can't see him going for Balotelli.

I can't believe how many people think that all he needs is Wenger love to sort him out.
If you want him here I reckon you have to accept that there will be no magical transformation in how he behaves.
I'm not sure that he'll consistently make the difference in games against the top teams, ultimately that's my main reservation.

He's the best 'available' striker in europe.

Wenger wanted to sign Suarez last summer, a few indiscretions aren't going to put him off if he believes in the talent.

He has also scored important goals v Man Utd before too.

I would sign Balotelli. I have some reservations as well. But I like players with character and personality and I rather have him than some moody weirdo like Benzema.

Also, Balotelli is a massive name in World Football. Would work wonders for our marketing/PR.

I guess you missed the part of the post where I said that I was not sure that he would consistently make the difference in big games.

I'm not sure about that either, but do you know any other strikers with his skillset that are available? Sure he's a nutcase, but in my opinion it's worth the gamble. There are not a lot of players out there on that level physically and technically.

For sure, but are there perhaps less brilliant players who would consistently perform as game chagers in games against big teams?
I'm concentrating on that particular point because being unable to compete against top PL teams away from home was our massive weakness this season.

tough one. I think balotelli is better than benzema and will get even better as he grows older but he's an even bigger nutcase and much more likely to throw a strop and want out.

hmmm -- I'd still risk balotelli, if there's a manager that can put him straight it's arsene.

You can have my psycho analysis for free. The boy grew up being racially abused and needed to develop a 'me versus the world' mentality. Fucked him up. He's will hunting, Arsene's Robin Williams. Basically just give Balo a hug and tell him it's not his fault. Then he scores 40 league goals and wins us the league.
