Balo/Lukaku

The first two aren't gonna happen, so Balo or Lukaku would be my favourites.

It's worth the punt that as he matures he will realise that it's more important to be at a club that respects him, have teammates that are not a bunch of cunts and fans that don't care about his colour than all the money in the world.

Indeed. Mario just needs to settle somewhere. It was never going to be Milano for a lot of reasons.

I'd rather take a punt at a troubled but genius player than someone subpar who keeps his head down and work hard. If we only looked at how players perform in the present we would never have signed Henry, Pires and Vieira to begin with.

Ozil, Bergkamp, Henry....the list goes on for fantastic players that high profile clubs wanted to get rid of and we made good.

If you don't want him because of attitude, talent, whatever, that's one thing. But to rebuff him simply because Milan don't want him is a weak argument.

It's a high beta move, so his price should be appropriately discounted. I'd do it in conjunction with a Vela or Remy move. Just in case. I'm all for it though. Balotelli is an artist.

The only reason Milan is trying to get rid of him is because of his salary. AC Milan are going down the drain financialy and simply can not afford the extreme salaries anymore, especially now without CL-money. I could see him being a huge player for us next season and a 500% improvement over the immovable object we have as our ST right now, if Wenger can keep him in check.
He seems to be a lot less crazy these days on and off the pitch.

He really has cooled off a bit by his standards as far as I can tell. Interviews don't make him sound insane anymore, just frustrated. I'd be really, really excited for the season if we signed Balo this summer.
