I wouldn't bet on that. It's a typical Wenger tactic. Plus a lot of people over exaggerate his problems. He's not as bad as people seem to be making out.

Maybe his problems are exaggerated but not half as much as his effectiveness.

His off the field antics would be fine if he didn't constantly go missing in games. He's unreliable on and off the pitch.

For €20m maybe he'd be worth a gamble but only if he wasn't so greedy as to demand a crazy wage.

Yeah that's my problem with him. Don't care about his off field shenanigans (to a certain extent of course) if he was consistently good. He is a potentially great player but I'm just sceptical whether he could ever be motivated enough to realise it.

if we think his wages should be 100k/pw, then we simply reduce the transfer fee by 12.5m, which would be the difference over 5 yrs. milan is prob dying to get rid of him, and the number of potential buyers is limited, so it wouldn't surprise me if we could get him for 10-15m on deadline day.

Balotelli would be a terrific signing. We won't ever win the PL or the CL with Eeyore as our main man.

He's fallen out with all three clubs he's been at. He's talented but his attitude isn't going to help us win titles anymore than Giroud's lack of ability.

One of the most telling points about Balotelli is that his finishing isn't even average. According to these metrics he is worse than Giroud.

He is massively talented, but his ego tells him he is a better player than he actually is. Hope he is humbled at some point, but may be a long way off.
