Or because Prandelli were playing a nothing striker like Immobile in his space up front and then blaming him for not testing the keeper enough.

One guy got fired after the game for fucking up, and it wasn't Balotelli.

I can't stand the bloke. He's good for what he is and will score his fair share against soft Bundesliga defenders, but he's a dime a dozen footballer who creates nothing for himself and it shows in games like these. I wanted Prandelli to take Toni and Berardi instead. Or Destro maybe.

If he feels that strongly about the way he's being treated and if he doesn't feel a connection he should just bow out and not play for Italy.

Is Prandelli like an Italian version of Graham Taylor (out of his depth) or was he simply let down by the players?

He's an excellent manager who made two or three bad decisions and unfortunately had to pay for it with his job. He got them to the final in the Euros two years ago.

Knowing Italy they'll probably go back to Lippi now and it will end in tears.
