Dude, I'd be over the moon if we signed Benzema. You guys need to get real and realize we have had Olivier fucking Giroud starting for us two straight seasons. Benzema is a massive upgrade. Now, he wouldn't be my first choice, but hell if I would turn my nose up at a guy who is a clear step up on what we have. If he is good enough to be playing regularly at Real Madrid for years, then he is certainly good enough for us.

Benzema's not even guaranteed a starting spot for France ahead of Giroud though is he?

I don't care about that at all. I am solely going on what I have seen with my own eyes for the last couple of years. Not only is Benzema a better player than Eeyore, but he is a lot better suited to playing with our marquee signing from last summer. IMO.

I don't think the gulf between them, in terms of who will influence results more, is as huge as you're making out Rex, Benzema's got more skill and talent for sure though.

not relevant. benzema didn't look fat to you? i know he was hurt, but he looked fat, slow and honestly, kind of old, even though he's 26.

good player, obviously, but i don't consider him the type who can turn a game singlehandedly like suarez or henry. and i'm not sure he's the runner that ozil needs.

not that i would complain if we signed him, but i think balotelli has more upside.

a striker choice of Benzema and/or Giroud will fill me with confidence.
26 and 22 goals respectively last season.
