Wenger's worked with Henry and Van Persie - it's idiotic to suggest that he can't see that Giroud's not in the same league.

He knows the quality of RVP, but being the gambler that he is, he thinks he can get by with the likes of Giroud, he plays on the edge with an average (or slightly above) striker...Wenger is his own worst enemy....

By saying he knows the value of an RVP, just says he is more concerned about finances than winning anything.....

If we know one thing about Wenger it's that he will not spend a penny more than he's put aside to spend.
Even if that means doing without what he knows we need.
It's not because "he can't be arsed" it's just how he does business.

Wenger may see the value of a top class striker, but the old man looks very closely at the money....And he gambles...If you want to win the trophies, you have to have the world class striker....PL and CL....No discussion....
