Vela's contract runs until next year so unless he renews it we lose out on big money
Carlos Vela
i think you just cant play for 3 teams in one year
Just buy him and keep him. We don't need to make money, and could do with a left footed wing forward.
I am not convinced a returning Vela will be as successful as he has been in Spain where he is comfortable with the language and the type of football. I also fear that it would indicate that Giroud remains first choice striker as nobody else, apart from Sanogo, can play at point.

Can register but can't play for more than 2 clubs.

I second those fears.
An official announcement of a Vela signing would provoke some vague dread.
I think the more measured way of seeing it would be to recognize that Walcott will take time to fully recover and get up to speed; Vela is a player who roughly offers what Walcott does on the right wing. The added bonus is that he can play through the middle as well, especially if we are chasing a game and want another striker on the pitch.
Vela would be an option, but I very much doubt that even Wenger thinks that Vela will make up for the 30 odd goals we scored less than the top 2 this season.
I don't trust Wenger too much on this after last summer's shenanigans.
Think vela would compliment ozil well

Just last summer...?
He was looking for a striker though. This season will have done nothing to dissuade him from actually landing a proper one this time around I reckon.
He has improved but like Park, Wenger wont give him much of a chance here and the only positive would be the opportunity to make a quick buck by selling him on as soon as we buy him.

no, but last summer trumped previous summers in relation to who we ended up with in the striker department.
Wenger is a stat man and our goals tally speaks for itself. He'll get two additions to the attack at the very least
Yeah, it's usually the defence he leaves too short on players. Even last season we secured Özil for huge money. We needed more to compete properly, but there was a world class attacking signing. In a position where we looked to be pretty well off too. I'm not worried in that sense. He will sign someone spectacular this summer. It's the central midfield and the rightback I'm worried about.
Only nine players have been involved in more goals (scored & assisted) than Carlos Vela in the top five leagues - 27.
Still not convinced.
Well it's as Climie Fischer said y
Love changes everything
I always liked Vela as a player. Had some outstanding qualities on the ball, but he was mentally weak and not able to really get into games. If that has changed, he's very welcome back imo.
Ah Dula, Climie flippin Fisher
I think not.
The nine
Suarez (43) Ronaldo (40) Messi (38) Zlatan (36) Diego Costa (30) Reus & Yaya (29), Sturridge & Alexis Sanchez (28)
Vela in the news again, reiterating his desire to return.
