Er, not really. They'd just bought the world's most expensive player and one of Ozil or Di Maria had to be sacrificed. If Aguero or Cavani were headed to Madrid, this would seem remotely plausible.

Yeah, it was more outlandish IMO. At that time there must have been a dozen or so clubs in Europe that would have looked more appealing to join than us. Benzema joining a team with Cech, Özil and Alexis isn't too out there at all.

As for Benzema...this is difficult emotionally for him...he wants best opportunity for titles...it's now between the 3 teams
I know Arsenal fans are going to go crazy...and they should...but this is real life...with real emotions...this is football
My advice to Benzema is about life...NOT football...play where you will be HAPPY...not for MONEY...not for PRIDE...enjoy this time you have
