Gabriel is probably a decent central defender. However, we're still far behind the best teams in Europe and must to look to improve in all areas. We still lack a CB who can carry the ball forward and/or pass the ball past the lines. We rely far too much on midfielders dropping down and starting the attack. A CB who can both defend and attack, will make the team more dynamic and create 2-1 situations in midfield when we go forward.

Benz is not going to be sold by a real madrid board that has appointed a caretaker boss for the season until Zidane comes through. If he isn't a fan then maybe, but I doubt that.

Edit: Then again Weng's just claimed that when Welbeck and Sanchez come back that we have enough attacking firepower. Also sidesteps the questions about Benz claiming he never spoke about Benzema and that it was only the media. Doesn't fully deny it and to be honest you would never really hear him say "yes, we want to buy Benzema" before a deal is complete. There is definitely something going on.
