I'm thinking about going along to the Brazil game, but 70 quid for two tickets is too much of a stretch for a non-Arsenal game for me. I know quite a few season ticket holders, and most wouldn't be interested in going. It's not like Cup games though is it, if you want to go you'd still have to pay, you just get offered them first?
Yeah, that is how it works mate.
Cool, thanks.

😆
I remember going to the Brazil-Portugal game with a mate a few years back and paying £60ish for each ticket back then. Then again the tickets were for Club Level on the half way line, but even then, I don't know what we were thinking back then to spend so much on a random game like that.
Went to Brazil v Argentina which was brilliant; Kaka was amazing that day. Am going to the friendly this weekend because I want to have a look at a couple of players.
Been to a fair few international friendlies in London though. Maybe not for everyone but I like seeing players live who you don't get the opportunity to see regularly.
Yeah, I'm the same Capi. Would like to have seen Ganso, Neymar and a few others live.
60 quid is steep for a friendly, Loyan, but they're great seats in Club Level. Perfect view.
Yeah Ricky, my view for that game was the best view I've ever had at the Emirates. Could see everyone clearly, wasn't too far away where the players seemed small and you had to guess who was who from position on the pitch and wasn't too close that you couldn't see what was happening on the other side of the pitch. Dunno if drinks in the restaurants are free (remember reading club level ticket holders do get free drinks but that may have been season ticket holders and included only Arsenal games) but it helped that I had some mates who worked in hospitality in club level and kept giving me free refills. Twas a great experience indeed.
Anybody knows tips to meeting Arsenal players? Like maybe what time they arrive before the match or when are they training at Colney?

How long do you want to meet them for?
You could always hang around outside the Tolly after the games, and then chase them as they stop at the lights. Not very dignified though...
I mean for photos or signatures or something, possible?
Then the only thing I can think of is pretty much that - join the autograph hunters outside the Tolly after the game. I warn you though, Alex Song never, ever stops.
Actually met Song at Brent Cross just before the Spuds game earlier on in the season. He and Fabregas were together but Song seemed to take more time out speaking to my cousin and I. Then again it helped that he had almost nothing else to do as everyone was swarming around Cesc at the time.
Is he actually 6'1"?
More like 6'0.5"...
😉
Haha, just wondering 'cos I know Loyan's tall, and Song always looks shorter than 6'+ to me.
I never really notice player's heights - if they're shorter than me, then they're too short, as far as I'm concerned!
Only thing that ever really does strike me about Song is that he's built like a gorilla.
Yeah, he has a great build, very strong and athletic.
How tall are you Asa? 😃
Right so I'm taller than Alex Song. Now all I have to figure out is the footballing ability, and the hair, and the lurid orange four-wheeler.

It's funny how strong black players are always seen as beasts or gorillas.
