I'm more annoyed about the 2022 bid.

Japan, south Korea and the US have all had the competition very recently, so I'm glad none of them have got it, but honestly:

1) What are they going to do with all those stadiums in Qatar?
2) Where are they going to get the fans from? The Isle of Wight 2026 campaign starts here....
3) Qatar? Football? In the middle of the summer? Really?

This is a joke of the highest order. Despite the fact that I don't really care that much about England not getting the world cup, it seems to me that the double-dealing that goes on in these situations is going to be inherently corrupt. Oh, and Sepp Blatter is just a twatbag.

But as I said in some other thread, why on earth would you want the WC to take place in your country? FIFA will grab everything they can and foreign fans will rape half the country. Everyone says it's good for the economy but all studies indicate that it all ends with huge losses.

Think it's pretty evident where Blatter, Platini, et al's motives are in that department.

Martin Samuel wrote a pretty good article about the decision today. For being one of the world's most recognizable international bodies, it really is dumbfounding how corrupt FIFA is. And it's sickening to know that they're running the game we all love.

Everyone knows England and Australia are the best places for these tournaments, FIFA is obviously rotten with corruption- in my opinion.
