i think their net transfer spend was capped as well, and they blew it all on luiz.

are they going to sell cavani to monaco then, for crazy money in a three-way merry-go-round? it would have to be silly money for them to stay in the CL, which rules us out.

but no real footballer would want to play in an empty stadium in monaco. it's just a tax-free retirement home.

Di Maria looks very close to PSG by all accounts. It'd only take £50m (what PSG paid) to get Cavani IMO. It's definitely doable for us and I think he'd prefer to be first choice at this point in his career. Question is whether PSG can sell other assets like Pastore and Lavezzi and make up the difference that way instead of selling a star striker.

That'll be a counter attacking wet dream. Modric/Alonso/Kroos all have unbelievable passing - both short and long.

They still have Casemiro, Illaramendi(still can't believe he costs them 40m euros) and Isco.

Which is why I am hopeful Khedira is surplus.

Isco started so brightly and then faded out.....any known/suspected reason? Didn't think it was related to injuries.
