Why would he go to Liverpool?
Other clubs' transfer activity - Summer 2014
Must I really answer that?
Just don't see the appeal. They're not in the same class as some of the other clubs that'll be in for him and they won't be able to give him the sort of money he'd want to look beyond that.
If we want him we'd get him ahead of Liverpool. Easily
Yeah I hear ya but we like to little bit dither
If Alexis is available we really, really should go all out to get him. Would get Barcelona a chance not to owe us money for a change too.
Rakitic to Barcelona confirmed.
Pantilimon to Sunderland. Only thing I can see is Vito must be leaving for a better club because he was voted their player of the season and so it would be odd that he'd get dropped and on the other hand it would be odd that Pantilimon swaps the city bench for the Sunderland bench.

you seem too certain of this. they have a bigger international pedigree than us. they have Suarez. they finished ahead of us. and their highest paid player makes more than our own highest paid player.
finally, if you look at the top 10 transfer fees paid for a player between the two clubs, Liverpool probably has about 7 of those, suggesting they'd be more likely to actually get a meeting with the player
(According to Di Marzio) - Chelsea have got Filipe Luis.
Good signing
Honestly they're going to walk the league now. Wouldn't surprise me if they won the CL either.
City are still better. Much better squad.
Wrapping their signings up with frightening ease! Suppose their targets have been more easier to obtain for them but still they've highlighted what they need and gone out and got the job done. Isn't he nearly 29 though? £20m is a bit much for a 29 year old LB
Need to make sure we get our business done as well, can't worry about other teams because you can't stop them from buying who they want.

That's what clubs with ambition to compete at the highest level do - pay big bucks for world class players at the top of their game and not worry about things like age and resale value.
We should be doing the same.
At the end of a 4 year deal he'll be 32 so it's not bad

That's what clubs with a fuck load of money do - pay big bucks for world class players at the top of their game and not worry about things like age and resale value.
We should be doing the same.
Fixed it for you.

It definitely reads better now Bosscielny.
Xavi leaving Barcelona after the World Cup for some Qatari club
Meanwhile back at Spurs, fans react to the news that they have bid £3m for John O'Shea
John o gay?

Why the fuck would we need John o'shea ffs levy what is wrong with you[/quote]
This needs to happen
Walker - Dawson - O'Shea - Rose
This back line would have the grand total of least braincells between them in the history of football.
This is great.
I'm just loving the reactions

TOTTENHAM WANT JOHN O'SHEA
This is how the world ends.....
Suarez to Barca for a shit load of money+Sanches?
Edit:
Sport has apparently joined in and claim that it is a straight cash deal. €85 mill.
Suarez to Barca which in turn would make Sanchez available to Arsenal? Why not.
Neymar - Messi - Suarez
-------Iniesta---Rakitic
----------Busquets
Pretty brilliant, just need to sort out cb and rb.
Na, Messi and Suarez wouldn't work well together
Of course they would
The cuntiest club in the world taking the cuntiest player in the world has a poetic ring to it. If it at the same time makes us sign Sanchez then it is the perfect combination of events.

Honestly that's just ridiculous.
Brede Hangeland on ex Fulham team mate Kostas Mitroglou to Norwegian TV2 "he's too slow, too heavy, too lazy" [for English football]
I remember some people wishing for us to sign him on the basis of him having done nothing outside greek football
I heard it mentioned through the Swedish commentary that Chelsea has signed the Ghanaian right winger Atsu. He has pace to burn and looks an interesting player.

They bought him last summer and loaned him out to Vitesse this past season. 5 goals and 6 assists in 27 Eredivisie starts at 22 years old. He looks like a great athlete but his decision making in the final third looks awful. I doubt he'll ever amount to much.

Idiot shouldn't have signed that new contract.
The way they've stuck by him so many times after all the disgraceful things he's done and he'll probably try to force a move yet again. I find it hilarious.
Read somewhere that there is a release clause in his new contract that is significantly lower for Real Madrid and Barcelona than for other clubs. Makes no sense, but a clause that is lower for foreign clubs seems pretty reasonable.

You wouldn't sign a new contract that doubled your wages?
Hope he goes
